On Friday the children of Rosendale turned red with excitement as Comic Relief had finally arrived!
1MD embraced the fundraising fun by coming to school dressed in red and in the afternoon, all children from Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and 2 took part in a danceathon. The weather allowed us to use the playground space to boogie our way through 9 songs.
Some special visitors from Comic Relief joined us, handing out stickers and balloons. They also toured round the school, visiting classes in KS2 where children were challenged to come up with their own sponsored activities. Our visitors were very, very impressed.
A huge well done to staff, pupils and parents who got behind the cause and donated money. This week children will be collecting their sponsored donation money. I am so excited to see how much we have raised and that the amount will be doubled by the government!
Happy Mothers Day! I hope you all liked the portrait cards the children made for you. I look forward to chatting with you all at parents evening this week.
See you all tomorrow.
